Isle of Tiree > Other Collections > Wild Flowers
Tiree's unique environment - machair, dunes, mild climate, marshlands, crushed shell sandy soil, low lying and exposed - is host to a multitude of wild flowers. Unfortunately I'm no botanist so didn't know what most of these actually were. Not knowing what wild flowers are called certainly doesn't stop me photographing them when I spot something interesting. Many thanks to Dr Deborah Long, Conservation Officer at Plantlife Scotland who very kindly identified most of the above Tiree flowers for me. These images are strictly copyright. You must not use these anywhere without first seeking permission. |
